Education Background
Professor WANG Ping was born in October, 1961, in Anhui Province, P. R. China. He got his master degree of law from China University of Political Science and Law in 1992. Then he obtained his Ph.D degree (law) from Peking University in 1998. From April to May of 1999, he was a visiting scholar of Duquesne University School of Law. From September of 2000 to August of 2001, he was a visiting scholar of the International Center for Criminal Law Reform and Criminal Justice Policy in Vancouver, Canada. From December of 2002 to June of 2003, he was a visiting scholar of the Max Planck Institute for Foreign and International Criminal Law in Freiburg, Germany.

WANG Ping now is Professor at School of Criminal Justice, China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL) in Beijing. Director of Centre for Criminal Justice, CUPL. Vice President of China Prison Association (CPA).
Teaching and Research fields: Criminal Law, Criminal Justice Policy, Corrections, Restorative Justice.

1. In 1999, Nomination for Ten Top China’s Outstanding Jurists under the Age of 45 granted by China Law Society.
